The North East Wine Tasting Society (NEWTS)
is an informal social group that meets once
a month in Newcastle Upon Tyne to taste and
discuss wine.
Who are we?
We're an eclectic mix of of amateurs from
Tyne & Wear and the Tyne Valley who've
made a hobby out of wine and, for some,
turned it into a job. Mostly though, we
just turn up to taste new and interesting
bottles, pass comment, chat to new friends
and share our love of fermented grape juice.
As a gathering of enthusiastic wine lovers
we enjoy finding out about the nuances of
wine; The Good, The Bad and very
occasionally, The Ugly!
Like what you see?
Have you progressed beyond wine being a
