2. Domaine Brusset 2007 La Grande Montmirail, Gigondas	Rhône	France	Big Red Wine Co.	£14.50	A sweet fruit nose with chewy tannins. Not shy on fruit this is a little young by 2-4 years. Group Comments: “tannic grip” “sweet attack” “new world feel”. Well liked
3. Xavier Vignon 2007 Vacqueyras	Rhône	France	Big Red Wine Co.	£13.95	Spicy nose with some oak. Concentrated yet elegant with good balance, overwhelms the palate a little. Group Comments: “very concentrated” “most integrated” “soft”
4. Domaine Bressy-Masson 2007 Côtes du Rhône Villages	Rhône	France	Big Red Wine Co.	£13.50	A savoury, sweet & sour nose with some acetone & alcohol. Concentrated but lacks integration and structure. Group Comments: “wonderful purity and richness” “peppery tingle” “more acid”. Well received
5. Domaine de Mourchon 2006 Côtes du Rhône Villages	Rhône	France	Big Red Wine Co.	£13.50	Sour cherry & smoke nose with some liquorice. Sweet fruit, firm tannins and a good finish - an excellent wine needing a few more years to mellow those tannins. Group Comments: “Liqueurs coffee” “liquorice”, “Sour cherry and smoke”. Liked by all
6. Domaine Grand Veneur 2005‘Clos de Sixte’ Lirac	Rhône	France	Big Red Wine Co.	£12.50	Garrigue & tar nose, a little raisin and Germolene. Fresh on the palate, smooth and sweet fruit - not too dense, light but precise. Group Comments: “cracking wine” “ elegant” “finesse”, “some Germolene”
